Hello everyone,

Finally the newest beauty insider is coming *YEAY* Due to my late post, this week I'll post 2 post of beauty insider including this one.

(thebodyshop.com)

The Body Shop was founded in !(&^ by Anita Roddick in West Sussex, England. Anita got inspiration to make The Body Shop when she was travelling to California and found a shop that sells soap, lotions and perfumes that make by natural ingredients. Now, The Body Shop is being a part of L'oreal. Even L'oreal group still tested their products on animals, The Body Shop still use their protocol to not use animal testing.

The Body Shop is a pioneer of the clean business. I mean clean is they're against animal testing and their business also helping people. Even there are still some controversy about this, I actually see The Body Shop as a brand that's too good to be true. But they're real anyway :)

Not only the products are excellent. Their famous body butter is nothing to talk about except the excellence of the products. What I want write is about how The Body Shop not only bring excellence when making products for customer but also bring awareness to their customers and public.

Community Trade

There are many project that The Body Shop do around the world, but the most famous one is Community Trade. This is not an aid that The Body Shop give for people, but this program will help people have long life job, especially to empower women in the area. So, they can do job continuously and gain profit from it.Community Trade means that the Company seek the finest raw ingredients from small scale farmers and traditional artisans that are expert in their skill. In exchange the company trade fairly and let suppliers freely in building price. From this project, not only helping people but the company also get profit by getting the finest ingredients.

The Body Shop always put where the raw ingredient origins, so you know what you use if from great hands.

Curious Case of Ruby

In 1998, The Body Shop creates self esteem campaign " Curios Case of Ruby". Ruby is appear as a normal size of woman that against "Barbie look" which is not realistic. This campaign show women that they're not alone and model look is not universal. It's teach that women should proud about themselves and not worry about not having Barbie look.
