Drugstore Makeup Starter Kit
If you know someone who want to start wearing makeup or you want to start wearing makeup, it can be confusing to choose what product to buy first. Before you feel the fun, makeup counters can be overwhelming. I still feel overwhelmed every time I walk into MAC or Sephora. For the starter, I suggest to start with drugstore product. It’s way cheaper and if you don’t like it at least you don’t spend a lot of money on it.
1. The Body Shop Tea Tree BB Cream
Before start wearing foundation, start with bb cream or tinted moisturizer as it feels lighter and don’t need too difficult color match as foundation. I this bb cream because it has light to medium coverage and not clog pores. All in One BB Cream from The Body Shop is also great alternative
2. Maybelline Color Show Eyeliner
What not to love from this eyeliner, it’s cheap, have a lot of color yet last quite a while. Brown is great for start, not too harsh for first time and look more natural
3. Revlon Lash Potion Mascara (Blackened Brown)
Mascara is one of the first makeup product I own and love. For mascara you can start from black, but I prefer dark brown mascara on daily basis to match my dark brown hair. It looks settle and less dramatic.
4. Revlon Mauve it Over Lipstick
You don’t need to start with nude lipstick, practically easy to wear natural color will do. I prefer nude/ your lips but better lip color for first timer. It is great to pair with different looks
5. Maybelline Lip Polish
Lip gloss is fun to create subtle color without adding too much drama on the face.
6. Maybelline Super Fresh Powder
This is a necessity, especially when you live in a tropical country and your face will look like a mess after 10 minutes above sun light.
7. Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush
Start with powder blush is great, but cream blush creates healthy natural effect for the skin. It’s so light weight and give a dewy look with using highlighter
8. Maybelline Fashion Brow Gel
Brows are become a huge trend these days, for starter try to tidy up your brows. Don’t fooled by the reddish tone , it will not look red when you apply it.
9. Wet n Wild Comfort Zone Eyeshadow Palette
A neutral eyeshadow palette is always come handy. For the price, you can’t beat the quality of these shadows.
10. Cute Makeup Bag
How can you forget to put all the things in a cute make up bag, especially If you want to make it as present.
These are just suggestions from the products that I love and use for daily basis. You can tailor it as you please. The most important thing is the suggestions of what kind of product to start.
