Hello Beautiful,

I’m not the kind of person that always repurchases the same products over and over again. But this kind of product has become a staple for me for along time. I keep switching brands but I always have bb crème in my staple products. This is way before my make up obsession starts. Back then all I got is bb crème, a powder, mascara, a lipstick and some lip balm.

Why a not addicted to make up old me decided to give it a try?

BB crème is marketed as a magic crème. Almost all of adverstiment say that it will cover imperfections of the face and makes your face way better than it suppose to? Looks like a magic crème right? For a 16 years old me, that’s a real temptation. I see bb crème as a scared make up staple.

BB crème is invented by  a  Germany dermatologist,Dr. Christine Schrammek to protect her patients' skin after surgery. BB cream stands for blemish balm, blemish base, beblesh balm, and beauty balm. . It is a cosmetic item sold mainly in East and Southeast Asia, although larger beauty brands are increasingly introducing BB creams to Western markets.

The formulation of western bb crème and Asian bb crème are different. Western bb crème is like tinted moisturizer which is very light and don’t give much coverage. It reduce a bit of redness and correct small discoloration of the skin. But for Asia BB crème especially Korean, BB crème is equal to foundation.  You can find anything from light coverage, high coverage to the machine buffed bb crème.

I personally use more western bb crème than Korean bb crème. In fact I don’t really know about it. The only time I tried was a snail bb crème in sample size, which is too light for me. But the coverage is amazing. I’ll try other one when I can get my hands & wallet to Korean BB crème because it’s so expensive in here. I can’t keep my eyes on BB crème from Dr Jart & Etude House.

For western bb crème, my favorite is  All in one BB cream by The Body Shop. It have 3 colors I matched number 2 & 3. They look almost the same but number 3 give more natural look for me. I tried BB crème from Maybelline but I know the product it’s not the one for me since it’s so watery and really messy.

( Highly recommended All in One BB cream from The Body Shop)

In Indonesia, the drugstore BB crème are too light for my skin tone. I know it’s related to Asian obsession about fair skin which I’m not into it. I love the one from Garnier, it have beautiful powdery finish but it is still too light on my skin. So, I just use a tiny  teeny  bit as a base for powder foundation.

( Dear Garnier Indonesia, please make more shades)

Do you like BB crème? What’s your favorite one?

Three things:
  •        College is killing me with assigments like seriously I miss holiday
  •          I miss my cats already, take me to my parents house please
  •         My workout plan is working I think. I feel that I’ve muscles now at least in my legs.
